If there is a seriously important field where the conveyance of a message and the understanding of it are paramount, given the possible severity of the end result either monetarily speaking or when it relates to your freedom, the judicial field is it. There is so much at stake in any judicial procedure, the risks inherent to the nature of this process are often multiplied by a variety of factors, i.e.: lack of understanding of the procedure itself (often common even in native speakers of the language in which the procedure is conducted), lack of experience in the process itself (many who originate from different cultural backgrounds have very little, if any, experience in the judicial process), and lack of language skills to understand the process, literally speaking.

Who?
Oftentimes, individuals embroiled in legal issues, whether criminal or civil, will require the help of professional interpreters who have been duly trained and tested. These professionals possess the necessary expertise and credentials to assist in the navigation and understanding of the legal system, whether in a court setting or through processes outside of court such as Depositions, Interviews, and Debriefings.
What?
This help is available and offered throughout every step of the judicial process, which includes: initial attorney-client conference, police interrogations, interviews with investigators, transcription and translation of recorded interviews and evidence material, -we can add this: [case prep, correspondence, information logging and presentation (counter services), private and government sector (military and security (recorded session), private sector and government sector, local/state/federal.]
When?
We are duly trained and certified with the courts in the state of Utah as well as at the Federal level. Therefore, we may be called upon to render services all over the country. Keep in mind that for criminal cases, interpreters are usually assigned, at no cost to you, by the jurisdiction where you are set to appear. This service, however, is only free for court proceedings and not for any meetings or interviews leading up to the hearing or after the hearing is concluded. (For example: any and all interviews held between you and your attorney, or any service provider you have been ordered to see.) Interpreting services are not provided for free for civil cases (for example: divorces, litigation, child custody matters and immigration interviews), except in the case of Domestic Violence-related cases.
Where?
Our company, Certified Interpreters International, offers interpreting and translation services in any type of setting anywhere in the United States, and outside of the United States, either in person or via conference video calls. We are fortunate to work with a wide network of linguists to reach our most demanding clientele.
